Visualise (or Visualize) Prosperity

A couple of weeks ago I bought a copy of the eBook by Wendy Betterini called Visualize Prosperity. This post is a quick review of that eBook and the 2 bonus items that come with it when you buy.

Background

I have been a regular reader of the Wendy’s blog Creation Thoughts for several months now. I can’t remember how I came across it but I have always enjoyed the articles which are all written in an easy, straightforward and helpful way. The subject of the blog is the Law of Attraction and how to make the most of that law for the conscious creation of the life we want.

What Is The Ebook All About ?

The ebook is in the same easy-going style focusing on using Visualisation as a means of attracting more prosperity into our lives.

There are 59 pages in this book and it is broken down into a number of chapters. The bulk of the book, as we would expect from the title, is a series of visualisation exercises. However, before getting to that point, the author discusses the benefits of visualisation as a way of making changes to our unconscious habits and beliefs. Continue Reading »

Homeopathy Under Attack ?

Published by Roger under Health, Homeopathy

Negative Publicity

As a working homeopath here in the UK, I can’t help but notice the negative publicity about homeopathy that appears in the press on a fairly frequent basis. One could be forgiven for thinking that there is a concerted campaign to discredit homeopathy !

The negative publicity tends to be in the form of poorly researched articles which express the author’s prejudice rather than any well argued case against homeopathy. One of the main accusations levelled at homeopathy is that it simply doesn’t work - this, despite evidence from properly managed outcome studies that shows it is effective. If there were good solid arguments against homeopathy, why aren’t they aired in the media ? Perhaps that’s because there aren’t any such arguments ??

Patient Choice Reduced

Homeopathy worked for me

It seems that this negative publicity is having an effect and access to homeopathy services within the NHS is being restricted. Patient choice is being reduced and this is not, in my opinion, the way we should be going with healthcare.

Debunking The Myths

To address the misconceptions, clear up misunderstandings and debunk the myths about homeopathy, a new web site, called Homeopathy Worked For Me, has been set up. It has been produced by a group called H:MC21 (Homeopathy: Medicine for the 21st Century). Its purpose is to promote homeopathy and defend the right of people in the UK to choose homoeopathy within the NHS. There’s a quick and easy form on the site you can use to show your support for homeopathy. Please sign up.
The web site has a lot of other information. I particularly like the page which lays out the myths commonly broadcast about homeopathy and it refutes each one in a detailed, dispassionate and well-argued manner. Please do have a look at the Homeopathy Worked For Me web site and, if you feel that people should have access to homeopathy on the NHS in the UK, please take 30 seconds to sign the declaration and show your support. You can do this whether you are a UK resident or not.

They also have a Facebook group which you can join to keep up with developments.

Breaking Away From The Corporate World Part 4

Published by Roger under Personal Development

As you will understand from the title, this is part 4 (and the final part) of a series of posts describing my escape from the corporate cubicle. Please read the first three parts if you would like the full story. Here are the links to the earlier episodes of this drama !

My Dream Interpretation

That was it - that was what I remembered of my dream. When I woke up I thought it was odd that I had remembered this dream but I really didn’t think much about it. It was only the following day that I suddenly realised what it was all about - and it hit me with some force !

When I relate my interpretation now, it seems a bit weak and not really very clear or obvious, but at the time, it felt like a revelation !

The 3 people who were killed represented the 3 day week arrangement that I wanted at work. That arrangement had to be killed off. That was the main point. The other aspects of things slipping and being unsafe in the current situation were not as strong. But if I wanted to build something substantial and solid in my life, the 3 day week needed to go. The job at the bank needed to go. It was time for me to break out on my own.

Going It Alone

I spoke to Linda, my manager, and told her I was thinking of leaving. She was great and said that if I wanted to talk it through with her, without any pressure, she would be willing to do that. We did have a talk but by then I had become clear in my own mind that I was going to leave. I handed my resignation in and left a month later. That was May 2005.

I had no business plan, no other sources of finance and I felt Fantastic. I KNEW I was doing the right thing. After 17 years in the corporate world I was on my own, responsible for myself, free of the politics of corporate life and having to do things I didn’t agree with. I felt like I was coming into my integrity. I felt like I was growing up. I felt free.

I do not have any regrets about leaving at all. I miss some of the social side of work and meeting lots of new people. However, my life is so much richer now. I may not be earning as much money now as I was then but, I tell you, the life I have now is so much better, so much more me and allows me the freedom to live the way I want to without feeling chained to that cubicle and all it represented.

Observations From My Experience

Here are a few thoughts about what I learned from this experience. Continue Reading »
