In part 7 of this series, we looked at how gratitude enables us to get in tune with the forces needed to help us get rich. Today let’s look at the method of getting rich.

Clear and Definite

These are the key words. You must be clear and definite about what you want. Vague, half-formed ideas about what you want will not get you anywhere. What, exactly, do you want. Don’t think, ‘I want more money so I can live more’. Far too vague. How much money ? By when ? What do you mean by live more ? Be clear; be specific; be definite.

Once you’ve defined what you want, I suggest you write it down. Keep the clear and definite picture in your mind as much as possible. If you want these things strongly enough, then you will keep them in your mind a lot naturally. You must have a strong desire. The emotional element is vitally important. What do you really want in your life ?

The methods set forth here are for people whose desire for riches is strong enough to overcome mental laziness and the love of ease, and to make them work.

Purpose

Thinking clearly and having definite and specific desires is the first step. Thinking about the reasons why you want these things is vital too. Imagine having those things. What would it be like ? How would it feel ? Visualise yourself having all the things you want and living the way you want.

If you are going to go along with this theory then, logically, you will believe that these things are coming to you. The process has started. You will have faith that you will get the things you want. Faith and gratitude are essential qualities too.

Vision Board

A useful technique is to have a Vision Board. This can be a cork board or anywhere where you can pin photos and other things. The idea is that you collect images related to the things you want and you put them on the board. Put the board somewhere where you often look - above your desk, in the kitchen, wherever. In this way you will be reminded on a regular basis of the things you want and you will hold the picture in your mind more frequently.
