Say Thank You !

Before you read this post, you may want to review the summary of chapters 1-6 which I published yesterday.

In part 6 of this series, we started to get the idea that one of the things we need to do to get rich is think clearly about what we want and convey those thoughts to the ‘thinking substance’. Before we do that we need to get in tune with this intelligence. We need to show gratitude.

First, you believe that there is one intelligent substance, from which all things proceed. Second, you believe that this substance gives you everything you desire. And third, you relate yourself to it by a feeling of deep and profound gratitude.

Say Thank you. Show Gratitude
There is a virtuous circle at work here. The more grateful we are for the things we receive, the more we receive. The things we already have, have not come to us randomly. Let’s be grateful for the good things we have - in this way we are more in tune with the creative intelligence and so can communicate our desires more easily.

If we are not grateful for what we have then we can soon fall into dissatisfaction. That’s not helpful if you want to get rich. Don’t dwell on past mistakes and bad decisions, don’t focus on poverty and lack. This will hold you back. Focus on a better future. Be grateful that it is coming to you. Expect good things.

Spend some time every day being grateful for what you have and who you are. How about writing down 5 things every day that you are grateful for. Don’t just write down any old thing. Write down this things for which you feel grateful. Cultivate the habit of being genuinely grateful.

More soon.

If you want to read the book, download a full copy of The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles.

This post is my take on the chapter 7 of The Science of Getting Rich. See my earlier article about the book.
